Our story began in 2006 when Reverend Simoni Tenderi Chacha felt a calling to make a difference in the lives of orphaned children. Fueled by compassion and guided by faith, he embarked on a journey to establish a center that would not only shelter these children but also nurture their dreams.

Facing financial challenges and community resistance, Reverend Chacha’s determination prevailed. Under a tree in Gairo, a gathering took place that marked the humble beginnings of what would become Bethel Orphans Support Centre. The journey began with a vision to build not just shelter, but a home that would resonate with love and care.

Building Blocks

The initial challenges were substantial, yet the vision persisted. Reverend Chacha approached the community, seeking support and understanding. Despite initial resistance, the community slowly rallied behind the cause, recognizing the importance of providing a safe space for children who had faced adversity.

The first concrete step was the establishment of a foundation under that very tree. As the roots of Bethel began to take hold, so did the determination to build a brighter future for the children of Gairo.

Founding Principles

At the core of our story are principles grounded in love, faith, and community. Reverend Chacha envisioned more than just an institution; he saw a family where children could heal, learn, and grow. These principles became the guiding force behind every decision made and every project undertaken.

The journey was not without its challenges. Reverend Chacha, with unwavering commitment, navigated financial constraints, community perceptions, and the day-to-day struggles that come with founding an organization from scratch.

Milestones and Achievements

As the years passed, Bethel Orphans Support Centre achieved significant milestones. From the construction of classrooms to the initiation of educational programs and the provision of nutritious meals every Saturday, the center expanded its scope to meet the evolving needs of the children.

The number of enrolled students grew, and the impact on their lives became evident. Bethel became more than a shelter; it became a place of learning, healing, and transformation.

Challenges Faced

Operating in challenging environments brought forth its share of difficulties. The center accommodates two main groups of children: those in compounds and residential orphans. Despite the accomplishments, ongoing challenges exist in meeting the diverse needs of these children. The journey is one of resilience, requiring continuous community support and partnerships.

Looking Forward

Our story is not just about the past; it is an ongoing narrative of hope and dedication.
